A Lovably Strong Companion

Meet Cooper. He was found by Animal Control and brought to the county shelter after apparently being struck by a car. Despite the pain of a broken femur head and torn knee ligament in his left rear leg, he greeted every volunteer at the shelter with a wagging tail and a great big smile. We could not believe how sweet his dispotiion remained after such a injury. He was a favorite of the veterinarian staff that treated him.

After two surgeries to create a new femur head, and strengthen the torn ligaments, Cooper is making a slow recovery and will hopefully one day regain full use of his leg, but don't let that injury fool you. He can run and tumble with his house mates just fine.

Cooper loves people, adores children, and welcomes all dogs he has met. He makes friends where ever he goes.

Cooper's ability to endure his injury with such grace is truely the mark of his breed and their stoic strength, but also the mark of Cooper and what a good dog he is.

Are you looing for strong companion who can give you years of devotion? Cooper is....
